When you have a musical performer as eclectic as Troy Gregory, you need to be very careful in designing a candy bar that is suiting to his style. He has been a member of Heavy Metal groups such as Flotsam and Jetsam & Prong. He is the front man of, the dark bubblegum outfit, The Witches . Was a bassist in the soul/garage, Dirtbombs. And has from time to time been known to moonlight with alt-countrified, The Volebeats. But that just scratches the surface. How about time spent recording or touring with Motown Legend, Nathaniel Mayer? Or how about Swans, Spiritualized, Mice Termite, Denise James, Larval, Monster Island, Wasted Youth, Criminal, Medusa Cyclone, Killing Joke or The Step Sisters? Very impressive, we think (what is this, a Wikipedia page?) But with solo material like "Dracula Has Risen From The Pond", "Born In A Haunted Barn", "Live/Dead Entertainment" and combined with an affliction for Nosferatu, Hammer Films and all things Karloff & Lugosi, it was a no brainer (mmm...brains) to work up something special in the Bellyache Lab for his return to solo performances. Submitted for your approval, "The FANG Bar" is Dark as night chocolate with Almond slivers that look a bit like the vampires #1 weapon, fangs! A delectable treat for all children of the night! |
