Bellyache Records was born not long after the original conception of The Bellyache Candy Shoppe. Being that we, the owners of BCS, have had extensive involvement in the Detroit music scene for years, we felt that it would be fun to combine our love for candy and music. Here, in the Bellyache Records Shoppe, we specialize in releasing Vinyl & Compact Discs from artists emerging out of the Metro-Detroit, MI area! Our first release, in 2006, was the critically acclaimed compilation,"The Sweet Sounds Of Detroit" Volume One. Next up a CD single and full length disc from the BCS co-owner's band, the GRANDE NATIONALS. 2007 was primarily dedicated to our all original Halloween 2 CD set, "Ghoul's Delight! A Monster Party Record." The set featured 31 Detroit artist performing their Halloween themed hits! 2008 welcomed our first vinyl 7 inch release from the GORE GORE GIRLS. Planned for spring 2008, we have a new 4 track 7 inch EP from THE HENTCHMEN! Also in '08 new CD's from SCARLET OAKS, GRANDE NATIONALS, THE DEWTONS & 7 inch singles from THE GO, THE MULDOONS, THE MUGGS & did we mention "The Sweet Sounds Of Detroit" Volume Two? Gonna be a fun year here, so keep your ears and eyes on the lookout for a lot of great releases!
